A sitting tub has an integrated, ergonomically shaped seat. You bathe upright or slightly reclined, the water reaches up to the chest. Compared with a classic full-length tub this means: less space required, lower water consumption and a considerably easier entry. In small bathrooms this makes a noticeable difference, the tub often fits exactly where the old bathtub or the shower stood before.

Three things are decisive: the width of the seat, the side on which the door sits, and the question of whether you would like extras such as massage jets. Compact models are available among others in 100 x 78 cm and 110 x 68 cm, larger variants with 140 x 76 cm offer more arm room while bathing. Each dimension is available with the door hinged on the left or right. Measure the installation area before buying and consider the swing range of the door.
