An age-appropriate sitting bathtub such as the S08-TH-A-L helps you keep your independence when bathing in your own bathroom, and it also eases the load on relatives who provide care. When you bathe while seated, the water comfortably reaches up to your stomach or chest, which makes for a pleasant, complete bath without having to rely on help. The neck rest and the particularly deep design with a 66 cm immersion depth add further comfort. In our selection of senior bathtubs you will find further low-threshold models for different room situations.
Construction, safety and comfort of the S08-TH-A-L
The side door of the S08-TH-A-L opens wide and allows comfortable entry without having to climb over a high barrier. The door has a special seal as well as a triple locking system with an additional safety catch, which ensures a secure and watertight closure. Thanks to the door drainage, the door can be opened after the bath without water running onto the floor. The entry width of 49 cm makes getting in safer and also allows transfer from a wheelchair. The integrated grab handle provides additional support when getting in and out.
The seating area is designed for comfortable sitting, with a seat height of about 38 cm and a seat surface of about 40 x 50 cm (width x depth). The model is fitted with the "Extra Deep" feature and reaches an immersion depth of 66 cm up to the overflow; when seated, the water reaches up to your stomach or chest, depending on your height. The tub body is made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic, carried by a height-adjustable stainless steel frame for a secure stance. The thermostatic mixer with diverter is built from a brass body with a high-quality chrome-plated surface and allows precise setting of the water temperature. The neck rest provides a relaxed head position during the bath. The drain is positioned off-centre, so that comfortable use of the seat surface is not impaired.
