AcquaVapore S02-TH-C-R: sitting bathtub with side door, thermostatic mixer and extra deep soaking depth
A side door, a compact seat area and a soaking depth of 70 cm: that is the AcquaVapore S02-TH-C-R. This Sitting bathtub with door combines a wide, safe entry with an upright seated comfort in the water and is aimed at people who want to enjoy a relaxing bath independently again in their own home. The model is designed as corner variant C for the right corner, with the door hinged on the right, and is therefore particularly suited to bathrooms with a matching room layout.
This sitting tub with side entry is the right choice for flats without space for a separate step solution, because it uses the available area in the corner and still offers full bathing function. It is likewise proven after a stroke or other mobility events, when safety on entry and sitting in warm water up to the chest are the priority. In our range of Senior bath tubs you will find further low-threshold models.
How entry, seat and water flow work together
The side door of the S02-TH-C-R opens with an entry width of 52 cm and so provides a wide passage that also makes transferring from a wheelchair easier. The door of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic is fitted with a special seal, a triple lock and an additional safety catch that allows closing even with limited hand strength. An integrated door drainage ensures that no water runs onto the floor when you open it after the bath. The safety catch and the secondary locking mechanism interlock and give the user the assurance that the door stays shut during bathing.
The integrated seat area is at a seat height of about 39 cm, with a seat surface of around 40 cm x 40 cm, offering enough room for a stable and upright seat. When seated, the tub fills up to the stomach and chest area, depending on body height, as the usable soaking depth is 70 cm, which is particularly generous for a sitting bathtub. This extra deep water level up to the chest contributes significantly to the relaxing effect in the water. The tub body of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic is held securely and level in the bathroom by a height-adjustable stainless steel frame. The substructure levels out floor unevenness and gives the tub a stable stand. An anatomically shaped nape rest is integrated and makes longer sitting more comfortable. The thermostatic mixer of brass, in a polished finish, keeps the water temperature constant and makes manual readjustment unnecessary. Water use is around 70 to 90 litres per bath, which is economical for a sitting bathtub with this soaking depth.

For connection at the installation site, two 1/2-inch connections for hot and cold water as well as an HT-40 waste connection are needed. A short preliminary check of the existing bathroom helps to avoid surprises during fitting. If you have questions about the fit and installation, the Seniorbad.de team is happy to help.
