AcquaVapore S17D-TH-R-ALL: walk-in bathtub with door and glass shower screen for low-threshold bathing and showering
AcquaVapore S17D-TH-R-ALL is a combination of a walk-in bathtub with a side door and a folding glass shower screen in one product. Anyone used to bathing lying down will find here an age-appropriate solution that keeps the familiar experience of a long, relaxed bath and at the same time enables the daily shower. The external dimensions of 75 x 150 cm and an overall height of 210 cm fit into the right room corner, while an immersion depth of 31 cm allows normal lying bathing. The door with its entry width of 37 cm and low threshold makes getting in safer without giving up bathing comfort.
This model is especially suitable for people who, after a hip operation or knee operation, find getting into a conventional tub too demanding, as well as for people whose waning mobility in old age turns the daily bath into a challenge. Thanks to the side door, nobody has to lift their leg high over a tall tub rim. The right-hand version is designed for the right room corner and uses the left wall side for the glass shower screen.
Door, lying area and water functions in detail
The side tub door opens with an entry width of 37 cm and closes via a safety latch that reliably keeps the door tight during the bath. The door itself is made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic with an all-round special seal that prevents leaking even with a full water bath. The additional locking mechanism can be operated with one hand and is designed so that it can be securely closed and reopened even with limited grip strength. Anyone who wants to use the tub only for showering folds up the 6 mm toughened safety glass shower screen and steps in dry before the water runs. You will find further models with a combined bath and shower function in our overview of shower bath combinations.
The tub of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic stands on a height-adjustable stainless steel frame whose feet can be adjusted in height during assembly. In lying operation the tub holds between 146 and 155 litres of water, while consumption is around 120 litres for a normal bath according to the manufacturer. The immersion depth is 31 cm, so you can submerge comfortably when lying down. The S17D-TH-R-ALL model comes without whirlpool or massage jets, with the focus on the calm, relaxing lying bath or the practical shower. A corner seat on the upper tub rim, above the water level, eases getting in for anyone who wants to pause briefly. The folding glass shower screen with 6 mm toughened safety glass bounds the shower area at the side and stays folded in when bathing.
