AcquaVapore S02D-TH-B-L: bathtub with door, thermostatic mixer and acrylic shower top
A side door, a compact seat area and an immersion depth of 70 cm: that is the AcquaVapore S02D-TH-B-L. This bathtub with side entry was developed for people to whom safe and independent bathing in their own home matters. The acrylic shower top also makes the tub usable as a shower, so you can choose between a bath while seated and a shower. Position variant B is suited to installation against one wall, and the door hinged on the left fits into correspondingly aligned bathrooms.
Especially for people for whom leaving the tub after a bath has become a hurdle, this design offers a reliable solution: the side door allows getting in and out while seated, without having to lift a leg over a high tub rim. People after hip or knee surgery likewise benefit from the low door threshold and the wide entry, which makes stepping in considerably easier. This way you land safely in the tub again and get out just as safely.
Door system, seat area and water at a glance
The side door made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic closes with a triple lock and an additional safety catch that ensures a tight closure even when the tub is full. An integrated door drain ensures that no drops of water escape when the door is opened. The entry width is 52 cm, which offers a generous passage and makes stepping in considerably safer even with limited mobility. The door hinged on the left is a genuine feature of this variant and should be carefully taken into account when measuring the installation site. The entry sits on a low door threshold that eases stepping over even for people with knee or hip complaints.
The seat area inside the tub is at a seat height of about 39 cm and a seating area of about 40 cm x 40 cm, so you can take a seat upright in the water. The water reaches up to the stomach and chest area while seated, and the immersion depth is 70 cm. An integrated neck rest made of the same acrylic material complements the seating comfort and gently supports the head. As a special feature, the tub is built extra deep, which with a fill volume of around 80 litres allows an effective water level up to stomach and chest height. The tub body reliably carries a person's weight: the stainless steel base gives the structure stability, and the height-adjustable feet allow a secure stand on uneven floors. The thermostatic mixer made of brass, finely chrome-plated, keeps the water temperature constant and, with the integrated diverter, can be used either for the bath or the acrylic shower top. Choose the shower in the morning and the relaxing bath while seated in the evening: the acrylic shower top makes both possible without you needing a second sanitary fixture. The tub made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic stands on a height-adjustable stainless steel frame whose feet can be levelled during installation. If you are looking for a sitting bathtub with a shower function, you will find a compact complete solution in the S02D-TH-B-L; further models are in our shower bath combinations category.
