AcquaVapore S02D-WP-TH-B-L: sitting bathtub with whirlpool and acrylic shower top
With the AcquaVapore S02D-WP-TH-B-L, Seniorbad.de offers a solution for people who want to enjoy daily showering and bathing safely and comfortably again. The sitting bathtub combines a side entry through a watertight door, an integrated water massage with 8 jets and an acrylic shower top that also makes the model usable as a full shower. You thus get a two-piece set of tub body and top, designed as a combination of a low-threshold bath and shower. The external dimensions of 100 cm x 78 cm x 205 cm fit into standard bathrooms, and position variant B allows installation against one wall with the door hinged on the left.
The tub is aimed at people who, with back complaints, have difficulty climbing over a conventional tub rim, as well as at people for whom balance disorders increase the risk of falling when climbing into conventional tubs. A side entry through the door opening makes stepping in considerably easier, because you do not have to lift your leg high. This way, the daily bath remains a routine that you can carry out independently and safely even with limited mobility.
What the S02D-WP-TH-B-L offers with the massage function
The side door made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic opens outwards and clears a generous entry of 52 cm in width, so you can get in comfortably or transfer from a wheelchair. The door has a safety catch with a triple lock and a special seal that ensures a reliable closure while you are seated in the tub. A door drain ensures that any remaining moisture drains off in a controlled way after opening. The additional locking mechanism gives you the assurance that the door stays closed during bathing. The door is hinged on the left, which is designed for space-saving installation in the corner.
In the seat area the tub offers a seat height of about 39 cm and a seating area of around 40 cm x 40 cm, so you sit comfortably and upright in the water. The immersion depth is 70 cm up to the overflow, which while seated corresponds to a water level up to the stomach and chest area. The capacity is 70 to 90 litres, which is considerably less than a conventional tub. The integrated water massage comprises 8 water jets, of which 2 in the wall area and 6 fixed back jets that target the back area. The pump with 750 watts supplies the water system, which is classified in the feature as a whirlpool water system. The massage is operated via the supplied thermostatic mixer made of brass with a polished chrome surface, which regulates hot and cold water separately and offers scald protection. The base is a height-adjustable stainless steel frame, while the tub body is made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic. A neck rest is also integrated to allow a relaxed seat during the water massage. The acrylic shower top can be folded up and turns the tub into a full shower, without you needing additional cabin elements. You will find further models with an integrated shower function in our range of shower bath combinations.

Before buying, it is worth a look at the installation site and the existing connections. The tub needs hot and cold water as well as a waste connection with a 40 millimetre diameter. As the whirlpool system is electrically operated, you also need an earthed 230-volt power connection in the bathroom, ideally a connection suitable for wet rooms. With a clearance width of 82 centimetres, the tub fits through any common standard door and can be brought into the bathroom without dismantling. The drain position is off-centre, which should be taken into account when planning the floor drains. Should you have questions about the installation situation or compatibility with your bathroom, we are happy to advise you at the Seniorbad.de online shop.
At our warehouse every tub is filled with water and checked on a test rig before dispatch. Only then does it go into transport. Delivery is by carrier, kerbside delivery, and the driver calls in advance to arrange a time. The set consists of two pieces and is delivered packed, so that you can bring it through the home door in one piece and assemble it only in the bathroom.
