AcquaVapore S12D-R-ALL: walk-in bath with door and glass shower screen for the right-hand corner

For people with restricted mobility, the AcquaVapore S12D-R-ALL is a full combination of a walk-in bath with door and a folding glass shower screen that unites both ways of use in one product. The model measures 170 x 85 cm and so offers ample room to lie down comfortably and enjoy a full bath. Anyone who prefers to shower opens the 6 mm glass shower screen and uses the bath as a shower cabin. The range at Seniorbad.de therefore lists this model as a senior shower and bath in one.

Two situations speak particularly in favour of this right-hand version: anyone who has difficulty raising themselves out of a conventional bath after bathing finds a noticeably easier exit with the low door threshold. At the same time the model is suited to relieving caring relatives, because the person affected can manage getting in and out largely independently and needs less outside help. Both situations have one thing in common: everyday life gains in independence. You will find further models with a low door entry in our bathtub with door category.

How entry, lying area and water routing work together

The side door opens outwards and gives a width of 38 cm, measured as the clear door opening. This is the binding step-in width of this model. The safety lock on the door seals reliably as soon as it is engaged, and can also be operated easily from inside the bath. The special seal around the door prevents water from escaping as long as the door is correctly closed. Anyone using the bath as a shower folds the glass shower screen up and steps in over the low door threshold.

The bath body made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic is held securely and level in the bathroom by a height-adjustable stainless steel frame. The water fills the bath up to an immersion depth of 35 cm, measured to the overflow. With a capacity of 146 to 155 litres you lie generously in the warm water. The water routing is designed for the lying bathing process: a corner seat at the top of the bath rim above the water level serves for safe entry and exit and for short breaks, but is not intended for bathing in a seated position. The right-hand version, recognisable by the orientation into the right-hand corner, suits bathrooms in which the left wall is free. The outlet lies off-centre, which improves legroom in the lying area. The glass front of the 6 mm shower screen is transparent and can be folded to the side to make the transition between bathing and shower operation straightforward. The model is supplied without glass coating; a later coating is possible and makes caring for the pane easier.

Technical data

The key figures of the AcquaVapore S12D-R-ALL at a glance:

External dimensions of bath body: 170 x 85 cm, height 200 cm (with shower screen)
Orientation: right corner (setup variant B)
Step-in width (clear door opening): 38 cm
Immersion depth to overflow: 35 cm
Capacity: 146 to 155 litres
Glass shower screen: folding, 6 mm toughened safety glass, transparent
Glass coating: without 2K glass coating
Bath body: fibreglass-reinforced acrylic, white, rectangular
Frame: height-adjustable stainless steel frame
Mixer: not included (connections for retrofitting present)
Massage jets: none
Scope of delivery: 2 parts (bath body with door and shower screen)

The external width of 70 centimetres allows transport through a standard door, so that the bath reaches its installation site in one piece. For the connection at the installation site, two 1/2 inch connections for hot and cold water as well as a HT 40 waste connection are needed. A short check of the existing bathroom in advance helps to avoid surprises during installation. The S12D-R-ALL model is supplied without a mixer; a single-lever mixer or a thermostatic mixer can be fitted afterwards and depends on the conditions on site.

Before a bath leaves our warehouse, it is filled with water and thoroughly checked for watertightness. Only after this check is it packed securely for transport again and handed over to the carrier. Dispatch is by carrier with kerbside delivery. Please keep a reachable telephone number ready for the advance notice, so that the delivery day can be arranged together. Once the model has arrived with you, and if questions arise during installation or first use, the staff at Seniorbad.de are glad to answer any queries.
