AcquaVapore S10D-WP: sitting bathtub with door, acrylic shower surround and water massage
The AcquaVapore S10D-WP combines a sitting bathtub with a side door and an acrylic shower surround, which also lets you use the tub as a shower bath combination, rounded off by an integrated water massage system with 8 jets. The sitting tub with its side entry lets you take a warm bath while seated, with the water reaching up to your stomach or chest depending on your height, and so brings bathing, showering and massage together in a single unit. The model is intended for people who find climbing into a conventional bathtub difficult or no longer safe.
The S10D-WP is particularly suitable after a stroke or other mobility events, when movement is permanently or temporarily restricted and the daily bath becomes a challenge. It equally helps people with permanently reduced mobility, for example due to multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's, who want to bathe regularly but rely on a safe, low-threshold entry.
Jets, door system and water routing
The side door of the tub opens over a wide area and frees up a step-in width of 50 cm, which makes getting in easier and also allows transferring from a wheelchair. The door is made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic with an all-round special seal and has a triple locking mechanism along with an additional safety latch that ensures a tight seal while the tub is being filled. So that the water does not run onto the floor when you leave the tub, a door drain is built in that discharges the water remaining in the door in a controlled way once it is opened.
The water massage system works with 8 jets that are evenly distributed within the tub body and wash the lower legs and the seating area with jets of water. The 750 W pump produces a noticeable massage pressure that is spread evenly across all the jets. The whirlpool water volume is around 120 litres, at an immersion depth of 73 cm, which offers enough water depth for an effective leg massage while seated. The tub is fitted with a neck rest that supports the head while you relax and improves seating comfort. The inner seat height is about 45 cm, and the seat measures roughly 50 x 30 cm (width x depth). The tub, made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic, stands on a height-adjustable stainless steel frame whose feet can be adjusted for height during assembly. The drain sits off-centre in the tub floor, so the water can drain away completely. The polished single-lever mixer tap made of brass is fitted at the factory; the tap cartridge is made of ceramic, which ensures a precise flow.

The tub fits through a standard doorway from 82 centimetres wide in one piece, so transport into existing bathrooms is possible in most cases without dismantling. Three connections are needed for installation: hot water and cold water, each at 1/2 inch, and a waste outlet with an HT-40 diameter. Please measure the installation site once before the delivery arrives. As the whirlpool system is electrically powered, a 230 V power connection is also required in the immediate vicinity of the installation site. The hot and cold water connections can also be routed on opposite sides, which simplifies installation planning where space is tight.
