AcquaVapore S08D-WP-TH-C-L: sitting bathtub with whirlpool and acrylic shower screen for safe bathing
A seated bath, safe entry and well thought-out features in a single model: the AcquaVapore S08D-WP-TH-C-L. The seated tub with side entry combines a full seated bath with a water massage from 8 jets and an acrylic shower screen that also lets you use the tub as a shower. The model is aimed at people who want to bathe safely and independently in their own bathroom, offering a low door threshold, an entry width of 49 cm and a proven 3-point locking system on the door. The overall build is designed for the right-hand corner (installation variant C), with the door hinged on the left.
This sitting bathtub is particularly helpful for people with balance problems and for reducing the risk of falls in the bathroom: the side door lets you step into the tub while seated, without having to lift a leg over a high tub rim. The model is equally suited to forward-looking bathroom planning for later life, when an age-appropriate bathroom matters in the long term. The combination of low-threshold entry, massage function and shower operation makes the model usable for a range of everyday situations.
How the S08D-WP-TH-C-L combines massage and safe entry
The side door of the tub opens over a wide area and allows comfortable entry from the side. The door width measures 49 cm of clear opening, which provides enough room even with limited mobility. The door is fitted with an additional safety catch and a 3-point locking system, so you can sit safely while the tub fills. An integrated door drain ensures that no water runs from the door seal onto the floor when you open it. Above the door there is a neck rest that gives you extra comfort during the seated bath.
In the seating area you take your place inside the tub: the internal seat height is about 38 cm, and the seat measures around 40 cm in width and 50 cm in depth. The immersion depth is 66 cm, which means the water reaches up to your stomach when seated, or up to the chest for larger bodies. The model is built as an extra-deep sitting bathtub and holds 70 to 90 litres of water. The 8 water massage jets are distributed around the inside of the tub: 2 jets are located in the wall area and 6 more as back jets, along with a foot massage function. The 750 watt water pump drives the whirlpool system. The tub body is made from fibreglass-reinforced acrylic, carried by a height-adjustable stainless steel frame for a secure footing. The acrylic shower screen completes the tub as an enclosed shower cabin, so that you can use either the bathtub function or the shower as required.

The usual plumbing connections are required for installation: hot and cold water at 1/2 inch, as well as an HT 40 waste water connection. It is sensible to inspect the installation site beforehand. As the model has a whirlpool pump, you also need a 230 volt power connection near the installation point. A door width of 70 centimetres is sufficient to slide the tub into the bathroom fully assembled. Dismantling at the installation site is therefore usually unnecessary. Even so, check in advance whether the hallway and stairwell offer enough width and turning room, as the overall length of the model is 110 cm.
Before dispatch, every tub goes through a function test with a water filling. Watertightness and the mixer taps are checked before the model is packed for shipping. The carrier will contact you by phone in advance to arrange the delivery date and provides kerbside delivery. When ordering, please provide a phone number on which you can be reached easily during the day. Carrying the tub into the home is not part of the carrier's order, so plan for suitable help on site. The scope of delivery includes the bathtub, acrylic shower screen, shower mixer, shower hose and shower head, so that you can start straight away with connecting the plumbing and power lines. You will find more combined tub and shower models in our selection of shower bath combinations.
