AcquaVapore S08D-WP-TH-A-L: senior shower bath with door, whirlpool and acrylic shower top
The AcquaVapore S08D-WP-TH-A-L belongs to the range of low-threshold sitting bathtubs with door and shower top. The bath combines a side door system for comfortable entry with a water massage function and an integrated acrylic shower top, which lets you use the model as a shower as well. In this way the S08D-WP-TH-A-L gives you two uses in one product: a relaxing seated bath with massage jets and a fully usable shower.
The model is particularly suitable for people who rely on the soothing warmth of a seated bath with chronic joint pain or arthritis, without having to climb over a high bath rim. People with back complaints, for whom climbing over a conventional bath rim is difficult, likewise benefit from the low door threshold and the generous entry. Placement variant A positions the bath in the left corner of the bathroom, and the door is hinged on the left.
What the S08D-WP-TH-A-L offers with the massage function
The side door opens outwards and gives an entry width of 49 cm. This makes getting in safer and considerably easier, even when mobility is restricted. The door, made of acrylic with fibreglass reinforcement, closes by means of a triple locking system and an additional safety catch, so the water stays reliably inside the bath body. An integrated door drainage ensures that no water runs onto the floor when you open it.
Inside, you sit on a seat about 40 cm wide and 50 cm deep, with a seat height of around 38 cm. The water fills the bath up to an immersion depth of 66 cm, which when seated corresponds to a water level up to the stomach or chest. The massage is provided by 8 water jets, 2 of them in the wall area and 6 fixed back jets. A 750 W pump drives the water massage system. The neck rest supports a relaxed head position during the bath. The filling requirement is 70 to 90 litres, which keeps the water use per bath manageable. Beneath the bath body of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic sits a height-adjustable stainless steel frame that compensates for small unevenness in the floor without extra packing pieces. The acrylic shower top is made of the same acrylic and closes off the bath at the top when you wish to use the model as a shower.

The connections required are a hot water connection, a cold water connection and a waste water connection with 40 mm. Checking the existing pipework in advance makes the later installation considerably easier. As the whirlpool massage system runs on 230 V, an earthed power connection within reach of the bath is also required. With an external width of 68 cm, the bath fits through a standard room door. Transport into the bathroom therefore succeeds in the vast majority of cases without dismantling.
