AcquaVapore S02D-A-L: a sitting bathtub with a door and an acrylic shower top for more independence in the bathroom
AcquaVapore S02D-A-L is a combination of a sitting bathtub with a side door and an acrylic shower top. The acrylic shower top also makes the sitting bath usable as a shower, so that depending on how you feel you can choose between a bath and a shower. The model is designed for one person, measures 100 cm x 78 cm x 205 cm externally and, with an immersion depth of 70 cm, offers water up to the stomach or chest area while seated. With a door hinged on the left and the A layout (left-hand corner), this age-friendly solution is designed for corner installations.
This sitting bath with a side entry is particularly suitable for people who suffer from chronic joint pain or arthritis and want to avoid climbing over a high bath rim. People with back trouble, for whom climbing over a classic bath rim is difficult, also benefit from the low threshold and the large step-in area. You will find further models with a shower function in our selection of shower bath combinations.
How entry, seat and water flow work together
The side acrylic door opens wide and gives a broadly sized entry of 52 cm in width. An integrated grab handle and the anatomically shaped inner profile of the bath body help you to take a seat safely. The door closes with a 3-point locking system and an additional safety lock that ensures a tight seal before the water is let in. An integrated door drainage ensures that as little water as possible runs out when the door is opened after the bath.
Made of fibreglass-reinforced acrylic, the bath stands on a height-adjustable stainless steel frame and so levels out unevenness in the floor. The seating area offers a seat height of about 39 cm inside and a seat of around 40 cm x 40 cm, which allows upright, stable sitting. While seated, with a capacity of around 80 litres the water rises to the stomach or chest depending on body height; a deeper immersion is not possible due to the seated construction and is not intended. The extra deep feature of this model range is especially noticeable here: the immersion depth of 70 cm allows a thorough bathing experience while seated. An integrated neck rest helps with relaxation. The tap is already fitted and designed as a polished single-lever mixer made of brass; the waste lies off-centre in the bath floor. The acrylic shower top is part of the 2-piece set and allows use as a shower without changing the bath.
